Hoi An Unique Island Tour
The Hoi An Unique Island Tour is one of our signature experiences, created to show guests how local people on the islands make their living along the river. During the tour, you will discover traditional activities such as fishing with river nets, rice wine making, and noodle production. The experience ends with a relaxing boat ride along the main river back to Hoi An Old Town.
Our tour guide will pick up your group at 8:30 AM from your hotel or meeting point. If your hotel is located in the city center, we will transfer you to our countryside bike station for bike fitting, helmets, and water.
First Stop – Rice Wine Making
At our first stop, you will be surprised by the traditional methods used to produce rice wine with many different flavors. You’ll have the chance to interact with a well-known local rice wine maker and learn how he produces rice wine while also protecting the environment.
Second Stop – Noodle-Making Family & Lunch
Around 11:30 AM, we visit a local noodle-making family to learn how Mì Quảng / Hoi An traditional noodles are made. After the demonstration, you’ll enjoy a home-style lunch featuring the fresh noodles prepared by the family.
Third Stop – Fishing Village & Boat Ride
Around 12:30 PM, we continue cycling to Tra Nhieu Island, where you’ll observe traditional river fishing methods using small wooden boats and fishing nets. You’ll learn how local fishermen catch fish for daily meals and for selling at the market.
After the island visit, we load all bicycles onto a private wooden boat and enjoy a 45-minute scenic boat ride back toward Hoi An. Along the way, you’ll see fish farms and fishing nets hanging over the river, offering a peaceful and authentic view of local river life.
The tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel in Hoi An.
